National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum

The National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum, also known as National Crafts Museum, is one of the prime attractions near Pragati Maidan. This is a paradise for art lovers, as the museum comprises of several galleries like Tribal & Rural Craft Gallery, Gallery of Courtly Crafts, Gallery of Popular Culture and Textile Gallery.

You can watch craftsmen and sculptors working on their pieces of art, and enjoy the calm and serene atmosphere that the place provides. National Science Centre

The National Science Centre in Delhi is a science museum that is located close to Gate 1 of Pragati Maidan. The centre is one of the largest science exhibition halls in the world, with exhibits that cater to all age groups. The galleries and displays here include Heritage & Dinosaur gallery, Fun Science Library and Human Biology gallery.

From several models of exhibits on Physics and other areas of science to the aquariums, the science centre has a lot for kids to explore.

Purana Qila

Purana Qila or the Old Fort is one of the prominent attractions of Delhi and is located close to Pragati Maidan. Apart from the sight of the impressive fort, there is a lake here with boating facilities for tourists. A sound and light show is held every evening to entertain the visitors.
