Razia Sultan was the first woman ruler of India and ruled Delhi Sultanate during the 13th century. As per records, it is said that she, along with her husband, was beheaded by the local Jats in the Kaithal region; their bodies were buried at these tombs. However, later on her body was disinterred from this tomb and was shifted to the tomb at Delhi.

Today, you can only find the remnants of the tomb at Kaithal as it is believed to have been destroyed during several invasions and attacks. Even though you won't be able to find the original building of Tomb of Razia Sultan, you must still visit this ancient spot if you love scrutinising the historic beauty of any place.

Another historic building in Kaithal which has also been through several attacks of Muslim rulers and the British, Kaithal Fort was built by the kings of Bhai dynasty; however, it was conquered by the British Army later on, who built several gates in the fort and used them to control the entry of items and goods in the city.
