The gurgling waterfalls cutting across the sharp sides of rocks and hillocks covered with a lush carpet of velvety meadows makes this a picturesque place. Kudremukh is a beautiful hill-station which is a part of the Western Ghats. Its lush green grasslands and dense forests makes this place a major bio-divesity hotspot in Karnataka. Tourists coming here can entertain themselves to a wide variety of attraction this place has. It is also an ideal place to head out for a picnic with your family if you are staying nearby.

Munnar is a peaceful destination with diverse flora and founa, waterfalls, tea plantations and trek paths. Another beautiful hill-station in South India are the Nandi Hills. Tourists come here to visit Tipu's Drop which is famous. Ponmudi

Ponmudi when translated means the Golden Peak and is a popular hill station located in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. Situated at an altitude of 1100 mt above sea level, it is constituent of the Western Ghats mountain ranges. Pleasant weather and scenic surroundings make this place an ideal holidaying spot. The sightseeing options in this hilly terrain are numerous including valleys, lakes and plantations.

Thenmala

Thenmala is one of the best hill-stations in South India which is known as an ecotourism hotspot. Literally translated as the ‘Hill of Honey', this place is famed for its honey which is believed to contain many medicinal properties. The dam built across the Kallada River is one of chief attractions of Thenmala region.The Palaruvi Waterfalls makes Thenmala a hotspot for picnicking and honeymooning. The deer park, another must-see attraction, is habitat to many species of wild deer.

Vagamon

Vagamon

Vagamon is a hill station that lies in the border of Kottayam and Idukki district of Kerala. It is a tourist hotspot due to the lush green plains, blue hills, meandering rivers, gushing waterfalls, fresh and breezy air and the deep pine forest. You can go for rock climbing, trekking, mountaineering and paragliding here. Also if you are not adventurous, you can sit back and admire the breathtaking surroundings and marvel at the variety of flowers that are found here.

Yercaud

Yercaud

Yercaud, located on the Shevaroy Hills of Tamil Nadu, is a hill station in the Eastern Ghats. Located at the height of 1515 meters, its scenic beauty and pleasant weather brings in many tourists. Yercaud is known for its plantations of coffee, orange, jack fruit, guava, cardamom and black pepper. From wild animals like bison, deer, foxes, mongooses, snakes, squirrels to birds like bulbuls, kites, sparrows and swallows can be found in these forests. It is a nature lovers paradise.
