History
Nagzira Forest region was a hunting ground of the Gond Kings. Later, it was converted into a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1970. It was merged with a few other forested regions to establish Nagzira Tiger Reserve in 2012.

Animals At Nagzira
Nagzira Tiger Reserve is a home to many wild animals, namely: small Indian Civet, Jackal, Tigers, Sloth Bear, Leopards, Mouse Deer, Antelopes, Jungle Cats, reptiles like Snakes, Crocodiles, Indian Cobra, Pythons, Palm Civet, Rabbits, Elephant, etc.

Flora Of Nagzira
Nagzira is blessed with rich biodiversity and it has varieties of forests. Semi ever-green Forests, small patches of grasslands, bamboo forests, teak forests and medicinal plants can be seen at Nagzira Tiger Reserve.

Museum At Nagzira Tiger Reserve
Nagzira Tiger Reserve also has a museum and an interpretation centre where tourists can get to know more about wildlife. There are stuffed models of animals and birds to educate the tourists about different species of animals. One can also get information on different species of butterflies that live in Nagzira.

How To Reach Nagzira Tiger Reserve
Nagzira Tiger Reserve is around 117 km from the city of Nagpur. Sakoli, about 18 km from Nagzira, is the nearest town to the reserve.
By Road: Nagzira is connected to NH 6 and can be reached via Sakoli or Gondia.
By Train: Gondia Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Nagzira Tiger Reserve.
