Ganeshotsav Rush: New Mumbai-Goa Special Trains Open for Booking Today

Bookings open today, September 8, for fresh Ganeshotsav specials on the Konkan route. Railways has added a Madgaon–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus festival service and a Chiplun–Panvel unreserved MEMU to handle the rush. Timetables, halts and coach composition are published for quick planning. Early clicks help, as prior batches saw heavy demand and rapid sellouts across zones this week.

The headline Mumbai–Goa draw is the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Madgaon AC weekly pair 01165 and 01166 on Tuesdays, September 15 and 22. Departures are 00:45 from LTT and 16:30 from Madgaon, with halts including Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Karmali. The rake features AC First, AC‑2 Tier, AC‑3 Tier and generators, suited for overnight family travel.
