Imagine a mind-blowing weather, some yummy strawberries and green hills around you! It gives a wonderful feeling, isn't it? Mahabaleshwar is one such hill stations located in Maharashtra which gives you an awesome feeling.

A summer retreat during the British era, this hill station is a popular weekend getaway from Pune and Mumbai. It is around 120km from Pune to Mahabaleshwar and can be easily covered in a day.

The pleasant climatic conditions in the hill station helps the production of strawberries, hence it is also called as the 'Land of Strawberries'. It is a must to visit the strawberry farms and taste the fresh strawberry cream in the food joints here.

There are many places to visit in Mahabaleshwar: Arthur's Seat Point, Venna Lake, Sunset Point, Mahabaleshwar Temple, Needle Hole Point, Pratapgad Fort, Krishnabai Temple, Kate's View Point, etc.

Panchgani is another hill station, which is covered on the way to Mahabaleshwar from Pune. Since the distance is just 20km, people cover both the places together. Surrounded by the imposing hills of Sahyadri ranges, a visit to the hill station is surely refreshing.
