You don't have to be a regular bird watcher, but this place is going to sweep you off with its beauty. Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, located around 22 km from Kozhikode, is one of the top bird sanctuaries in Kerala. This sanctuary is formed by a group of islands in the Kadalundi Puzha river. So, one gets to see the quaint vistas of the backwaters along with the colourful birds in this sanctuary.

Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary is around 22 km from Kozhikode, so it is reachable by road from the town of Kozhikode. Tourists can also go by train and get down at the Kadalundi railway station. By air, the Calicut International Airport is the nearest airport to Kadalundi.
