Massanjore Dam

Baba Basukinath Dham

The pilgrimage site of Baba Basukinath Dham is a revered destination for the Hindus. Devotees come here during the Shravan Mela, which is celebrated with pomp and grandeur here.

Tourists visiting the place can enjoy the celebrations and will get to see a sea of saffron cloth clad pilgrims singing songs in the praise of the lord.

Tatloi

Tatloi is famed for its natural hot water spring. The natural surrounding of this place makes it even more welcoming. It draws nature lovers who are certain to enjoy the scenic beauty.

It is an ideal place to head for a picnic with your family and also you can take a nice warm, relaxing dip in the pool of water near the hot spring.

Baba Sumeshwarnath

The Baba Sumeshwarnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees throng here in large numbers to pay respect to the lord and offer worship to him.

Tourists coming here will be amazed by the crowd of devotees in and around the place. You can hear them chanting prayers and hymns all through the day.

A unique offering at this temple is that of the holy water from the Ganges River. It is believed that those who offer the lord this holy water will be blessed and have his prayers answered.

How to Reach Dumka

By Air: The closest airport to Dumka is the one at Ranchi which is 330 km away. It is well-connected to all the major cities in the country.

By Train: Railways connect Ranchi and Jasidih to Dumka. It is connected to all the major cities from here.

By Road: Dumka is well-connected by proper roads with important cities of Jharkhand. Travel within Dumka is easy with plenty of autos available. Buses are readily available and are mostly preferred by the residents. Both private and government buses run through the city. Kolkata and Ranchi are connected to Dumka by frequent luxury night bus service.
