India is a land which has marvellous beauty and rich cultural heritage, which are often considered as the best subjects for a photography enthusiast.

One would click plenty of pictures which would ring a bell in our minds about the hidden beauty which just got captured in our cameras. Well get your cameras ready and head to these destinations which are tailor-made for shutterbugs to capture the best memories.

1. Varanasi

Varanasi is truly a city which bursts out in a riot of colours in every nook and corner. It is one place which no photographer can stay away from. The city opens up a wide variety of colours and cultures right before your eyes, which makes it hard to put the lens cap on your camera. Put away the ego in you and bring out the camera to capture the raw life in its various hues and shades.

Are you ready to get lost in the desert mountains of Himachal Pradesh which gives you the experience of being on the moon? If you are ready for it, then without much delay head straight to Spiti Valley and experience the moonscape which unfolds itself right in front of your eyes. A visit to this beautiful land will for sure give out of the world pictures of the untouched land along with the influences of Tibetan culture and a good ounce of Buddhism which is scattered across the stretch.

Well then, McLeod Ganj in Dharamshala is the perfect place for you. If you are lucky, you would get a chance to have a rendezvous with His Holiness the Dalai Lama who stays in Dharamshala. Tibetan culture, monks in orange and red robes, prayer wheels everywhere, all these add colour to the images fixed in the frame.

Khajuraho is well known for its large number of temples which portray erotic art and forts which are carved so delicately that the carvings have stood the test of time and remain in all its glory. The place is must see to witness the finest carvings of temple art.

The pride of the Seven Sister States is Meghalaya which is the state that must be visited for its natural beauty. The state is filled with panoramic places and one amongst them is the river of Umngot near Dawki which flows majestically in hues of bluish green, which is strikingly so clear that one can actually see the river bed below.

One of the best waterfalls in the country is the Athirapally Falls in Kerala. The mammoth waterfall cascades through great heights and creates a fog like appearance as it comes crashing down. If you have a pricky feeling in your heart that you cannot capture the Niagara waterfalls, then without much delay head straight to the Niagara of India and capture the waterfalls in all its glory, especially during the monsoons.

Interested in ruins, temples and an upcoming hippie destination? If so, head straight to Hampi in Karnataka. The place shows you how the once glorious and wealthy city now lies in ruins and is a perfect example of excellent craftsmanship and much more. Through the ruins one would get brilliant views of both the sunset and the sunrise; a lot more unfurls itself before you.
