Helicopter Service: Dudhwa National Park, nestling on the Indo-Nepal border and sprawled over 490 sq km, is gearing up to welcome its visitors from November 15, with a slew of fresh updates and offerings. This natural abode in Lakhimpur Kheri is not just slashing down its service fees but also piloting a helicopter service, to elevate the accessibility for tourists.

Helicopter Service for Enhanced Accessibility

A singular aspect worth mentioning is the inauguration of a helicopter service that is set to connect Lucknow to Dudhwa, Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, and Chuka Tiger Reserve. A typical road journey from Lucknow to Dudhwa can take up to five hours. In stark contrast, the recently unveiled helicopter service can shorten this commute to less than half an hour. Do bear in mind that the exact start date for this service is yet to be ascertained. From the helipad, which is around 7 km away, it is a short 20-minute drive to reach the park. Operating under the supervision of the civil aviation department, this service aims to commence at a fair price.

Additional Initiatives for Visitor Enrichment

Besides the chopper service, Dudhwa National Park also has a number of additional initiatives up its sleeve to amplify visitor experience. In a bid to offer tourists convenient lodging options, potential investors have been invited to set up hotels within a one-kilometer radius of the park.

Affordability with Slashed Tour Costs

Furthermore, the national park aims to encourage visitor influx by lowering its tour cost from INR 300 to just INR 150 per person. This makes it pocket-friendly and allows more people to enjoy its diverse wildlife and untouched landscapes.

Dudhwa Tiger Reserve's Noteworthy Achievement

Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR) is on a commendable journey as well, securing the fourth rank among tiger reserves across the country. This achievement aligns with Uttar Pradesh's significant rise of 18.49% in the overall tiger population, as evidenced by the 'Status of Tigers in India' study at the state level.
