The cycling scene in Delhi is a pretty well-known one and the number of people who have shown interest in recreational as well as professional cycling in the city has increased tremendously over the last few years. Head out early in the morning towards India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Rajpath and you will come across a large number of cyclists in multiple hues of glowing attire riding on their mean machines.

Gorgeous sunrise, greenery and countless avian species make the place one of the most loved cycling tracks in the city. Come winter, one would come across a large number of migratory birds from Siberia and various other places.
You can spot quite a number of birds, such as the northern pintails, bar-headed geese and many others here. The track is located on the outskirts of Delhi and runs parallel to the Najafgarh drain.

Rashtrapathi Bhavan To India Gate

Standing atop the Raisina Hill, this stretch is truly majestic with Rashtrapati Bhavan on one side, India Gate on the other and Rajpath connecting the two - a sight which would fill any Indian with pride.
Every morning this stretch is dominated by cyclists, joggers, children skating and people on their routine walks. Wondering what you would get in return? Well, it is simple. One would come across countless smiling and happy faces, which gives out all the positive energy required to kick-start a day.
Asola Bhardwaj Lake
The rocky off-road gravel track is apt for the cyclists who would enjoy such tracks. The uphill and downhill sections are combined along with rocky stretches making it a perfect destination for all the mountain bike riders.
Beginners may find this track to be a challenging one, which also requires one to hike across a number of sections. The region is blessed with the presence of birds and animal life and if you are lucky enough, you can spot nilgais, rabbits, porcupines and jackals.
Aravali Bio-Diversity Park, Gurugram
This location is a green paradise in the concrete jungle of the city. The downhill sections inside the park may appear intimidating for a beginner; however, once you get the hang of it, you would for sure thoroughly enjoy the wavy path inside the premises of the Aravalli Biodiversity Park.
Sanjay Van is the forest area located right at the heart of Delhi, which truly is a dream come true for any person living in the city. One would come across a gravel track which runs inside the forest, which forms an excellent cycling track.
As you cycle through this forest area, make sure you stop at one of the numerous watchtowers, which would give you an undisputed view of the surrounding area.
