The Toy Train
Known as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of India, the Toy Train or the Darjeeling Himalayan Railways is yet another tourist attraction. Inaugurated in the 1800s, this train is of immense historical importance and also the only mini train service offered in the entire nation, which connects New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling.
The Toy Train is just about 2 feet in length and was used for transportation of the military forces during the second world war. Today, the Toy Train offers joy rides to the tourists. The beautiful gardens and panoramic views of nature that can be seen during the journey are beyond words.
