Passing through the Shivaliks, the route between Kalka to Shimla is one of most scenic journeys in India. The Himalayan Queen Train passes through 107 tunnels, 864 bridges and through the Himalayan ranges, being one of the highest railway stations.

3. Mettupalayam To Ooty
The Nilgiri Mountain Railway connects Mettupalayam to Ooty. It passes through the Nilgiri mountain ranges offering you a ride through tea estates, green hills and tall grinder bridges.

Most of the stations have very peculiar names, thanks to the British. Some of the station are Lovedale, Wellington and Fernhill.
