Kaitabeshwara Temple is one of the enchanting shrines located in Soraba Taluk. It was constructed during the reign of Hoysala King Vinayaditya in 1100 AD. Shiva is worshipped as Kaitabeshwara Temple at Kubathur or Kubbathur.
Aghoreshwara Temple
The enchanting Agoreshwara Temple in Ikkeri is a blend of several styles of architecture. The intricately carved walls and pillars look elegant. Aghoreshwara Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the famous temples in Shimoga.

The serene hamlet of Alase is known for the Chandikeshwari Temple. The prime deity of Chandikeshwari is believed to another form of Durga. The shrine has a lot of importance in the surrounding regions and hence it is one of the popular ancient temples in Thirthahalli, Shimoga.
Rameshwara Temple Keladi
Rameshwara Temple with a blend of Hoysala and Dravidian Style of architecture remains one of the ancient temples in Keladi. Rameshwara and Virabhadra Temple at Keladi belong to the time of Keladi Nayakas.

Uma Maheshwara Temple
Uma Maheshwara Temple was excavated a few years ago. It is situated in Hosagunda around 16km from Sagara. Beautifully sculpted temples walls and pillars take us into an old world charm. Uma Maheshwara Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and many developments are done to improve the temple. There is also a goshala (cattle shed) near to the temple.
It is wonderful to explore the ancient temples which reminds us of a glorious past!
