This artificial nature park was formerly called Dhakuria Lake, but later renamed as a tribute to one of the greatest writers in the history of literature, Rabindranath Tagore. Although it is artificial, this lake paradise serves the purpose as good as natural lake and one can spot various species of birds and fishes while relaxing in the serene bliss of Rabindra Sarobar.
