Falling from the height of 90 feet, Amritdhara Waterfall is one of the highest and widest waterfalls in the state of Chhattisgarh and is located on Hasdeo river in the Koriya district. Due to the presence of a Shiva temple in its vicinity, the region in and around the fall is considered auspicious and has become a spot for the annual fair which is held during the season of Maha Shivratri.

This annual fair attracts millions of Hindu devotees and tourists every year. It is believed that the fair was commenced by the king of Koriya in the year 1936 so that he could celebrate some moments with the public. Today, Amritdhara Waterfall is more of a picnic spot and a weekend destination.
