Kankaria Zoo in Ahmedabad is set to offer visitors a unique wildlife experience with its upcoming aviary. Innovative Aviary Design
The new aviary will be constructed over two years, with careful attention to the needs of different bird species. The design includes large cages for water birds, low-flying birds, medium flyers, and high-altitude flyers. Special care is being taken to protect birds from Ahmedabad's harsh climate by creating cool and safe environments. Separate areas will be available for land-dwelling birds, water birds, and carnivorous species. These efforts ensure the well-being of the birds while offering visitors an unforgettable experience.
A Rich History of Bird Breeding
Since its opening in 1951, Kankaria Zoo has been known for its success in breeding various bird species, including pelicans, spoonbills, and night herons. The zoo is also part of an exchange program with other zoos, adding to its diverse collection.
