The Royal Palace, Sawantwadi

Being a major tourist attraction, the Royal Palace has a cultural touch made of bricked brown walls. The palace was built in the era of King Khem Sawant Bhosale III (1755-1803). The inner walls are lined with photographs from the past precisely explaining the story of the monument. One gets beamed back in time amidst the wonderful arts and crafts, carved rooms, war weapons and green surroundings.
