Trekking is popular among tourists owing to the terrain that is ideal for the activity. During the journey, travellers need to take the trekking brochure from the Jammu Kashmir Tourism Department Corporation (JKTDC).

Tourists planning a trip to Sanasar can undertake organised trekking trails. The trekking trails in this region can take a minimum of 3 hours and maximum of 7 hours depending upon the routes chosen by the tourists.

In case, people start feeling tired then they can hire ponies that are available with the attendant along the trekking trails. Necessary trekking equipments are provided by the Tourism Department from their shops.

These shops have both local and imported trekking equipments that are given to tourists against a security deposit. Travellers coming from outside India, have to deposit their passport as security against trekking gears.
