The Panhala Fort is a signature fort of the region of Panhala. It goes by the same name as the city it is named after and is the largest and most magnificent fort of the Deccan region. This monument was built by King Raja Bhoj in and around the 12th Century, almost 900 years back.

The fort was built for defense purposes and can be entered only through the sturdy double-walled entrance. This historic landmark takes you back into history at that point in time when the Marathas were the greatest rulers in India. The fort has attracted tourists by the droves for decades and continues to do the same still.
