Event tourism, particularly driven by G20 related events and the Miss World programme, has put the Union Territory at the forefront. The recent G20 meeting underscored the region's potential for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and wedding tourism.

Policy Interventions Boosting Tourism in J&K
HAI's report has also suggested policy interventions to support sustainable tourism growth in the region. The Union government has allocated Rs 786 crores, a substantial increase, to bolster the tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
