Southern Railway has announced Vishu special trains between Mangaluru and Chennai to handle the extra passenger rush during the holiday season. These special trains are introduced to offer more travel options and ensure a comfortable journey for passengers during this busy period.
List of Vishu Special Trains from Mangalore to Chennai
• One of the trains, Train No. 06128 Mangaluru Junction-Chennai Egmore Festival Special Express, will depart from Mangaluru Junction at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, 9th April. It will reach Chennai Egmore at 12:30 p.m. the next day. This train is expected to help passengers traveling from coastal Karnataka to Tamil Nadu during the festive season.
• Another train, Train No. 06153 Chennai Egmore-Mangaluru Central One-Way Festival Special Express, will leave Chennai Egmore at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10. It will arrive at Mangaluru Central at 6:55 a.m. the following day.
• Moreover, Train No. 06154 Mangaluru Central-Chennai Egmore One-Way Festival Special Express will run on April 15, Wednesday. It will depart from Mangaluru Central at 4:00 p.m. and reach Chennai Egmore at 10:45 a.m. the next day.
These special trains are one-way services planned to handle the increased number of travelers during Vishu, introduced with an aim to reduce overcrowding in regular trains and make travel more convenient.
