The Ministry of Railways has decided to convert three Train-on-Demand special trains into regular weekly express trains to make commuting easier for passengers and to improve connectivity between important cities.

Visakhatpatnam-Tirupati Special Trains
As per officials, the Visakhapatnam-Tirupati special trains, 08547/08548, will now operate as regular weekly express trains with new numbers 18505 and 18506. This change will be effective from April 1 to 2. Train No. 18505 will depart from Visakhapatnam every Wednesday at 7 pm and reach Tirupati at 9:30 am the next day. On the return journey, Train No. 18506 will depart from Tirupati on Thursdays at 9:50 pm and arrive in Visakhapatnam at 1:30 pm on Friday.
Visakhapatnam-Charlapalli special trains
Similarly, the Visakhapatnam-Charlapalli special trains, 08579/08580, will also be made regular weekly express services. These trains will run with new numbers 18527 and 18528 starting from April 3 and 4. Train No. 18527 will depart from Visakhapatnam at 5:30 pm on Fridays and reach Charlapalli at 8 am the next day. The return train, No. 18528, will leave Charlapalli at 2:30 pm on Saturdays and reach Visakhapatnam at 5:20 am the following day.
Visakhapatnam-SMVT Bengaluru special train
Moreover, the Visakhapatnam-SMVT Bengaluru special train, 08581 will also be regularised and will operate as Train No. 18509 from April 5 onwards.
The decision has been taken to benefit passengers by providing more reliable and regular train services on these routes, reducing the need for special bookings and making travel planning more convenient.
