To manage the extra rush of passengers during the festive season, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced special train services between Visakhapatnam and SMVT Bengaluru. These trains have been introduced to provide additional travel options and reduce crowding on regular services.

Visakhapatnam to Bengaluru Special Trains
According to railway officials, train number 08501, the Visakhapatnam to SMVT Bengaluru special, will depart from Visakhapatnam on December 15 at 3:20 pm. The train will reach SMVT Bengaluru the next day, December 16, at 12:45 pm.
For the return journey, train number 08502, the SMVT Bengaluru to Visakhapatnam special, will leave SMVT Bengaluru on December 16 at 3:50 pm. It is scheduled to arrive in Visakhapatnam on December 17 at 1:30 pm. This information was shared by K. Pavan Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Waltair division.
Total Coaches of Trains
The special train will run with a total of 20 coaches to accommodate more passengers. These include one Second AC coach, two Third AC coaches, twelve Sleeper Class coaches, three General Class coaches, and two Second-Class luggage-cum-brake vans. This mix of coaches ensures that passengers from different travel categories can book tickets according to their needs.
Important Stoppage Stations
During the journey, the train will stop at several important stations to serve passengers across multiple regions. The stoppages include Anakapalli, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangarpet, and Krishnarajapuram.
With these special services, East Coast Railway aims to ensure smoother travel and greater comfort for passengers heading to or from Bengaluru and Visakhapatnam during the busy festival period.
