Vande Metro Trains to Connect Indore and Ujjain Before Kumbh Mela; Check Details

Exciting news for travelers and devotees! According to PTI, Vande Metro trains will start running between Indore and Ujjain before the Simhastha Kumbh Mela. This decision was made during a meeting led by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday. The plan aims to improve transportation in the state's big cities and make travel easier for devotees visiting the Kumbh Mela.

Vande Metro to Connect Indore-Ujjain

Chief Minister Yadav emphasized that operating a metro train between Indore and Ujjain will greatly help the movement of devotees during Simhastha. He mentioned that the feasibility survey for running the metro trains between these two cities is already complete.

In addition to this, Yadav revealed another exciting plan: a Vande Metro service will be launched from Indore airport to the famous Mahakal temple in Ujjain. This will be a significant gift for the people, tourists, and devotees, making their travel more convenient and enjoyable.

Yadav also shared that in his recent discussion with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, they agreed to introduce the Vande Metro Circle Train in various cities across Madhya Pradesh. This initiative will be a major boost to urban transportation in the state. The Vande Metro Circle Train is expected to replace the old metro system, offering substantial benefits to the citizens.

The Circle Train facility aims to create an integrated plan for metro train operations in cities facing increasing traffic congestion. This new system will include high-speed metro trains, state-of-the-art technology, and benefits for industrial areas such as Pithampur and Dewas.

Yadav stressed the importance of using narrow-gauge and other existing railway lines in some cities. He mentioned that comprehensive surveys and studies will be conducted to ensure that currently unused rail tracks can be repurposed effectively. This approach will help in making the best use of existing infrastructure and resources.

During the meeting, the progress of metro projects in the state was also reviewed. The trial run of the first phase of the Bhopal metro was completed in October last year. The second and third phases are set for completion by 2027. Additionally, work on a 31-kilometer-long metro line in Indore is actively underway, showing the state's commitment to improving urban transportation.

The introduction of the Vande Metro trains and the new traffic plans for big cities in Madhya Pradesh reflect the state government's dedication to modernizing transportation and making travel more convenient for its residents and visitors.

The Simhastha Kumbh Mela, held every 12 years in Ujjain, is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world. The new metro service will be a significant improvement, allowing millions of devotees to travel comfortably and efficiently to the holy city. The state government's initiative to launch the Vande Metro service from Indore airport to the Mahakal temple in Ujjain further highlights their commitment to facilitating pilgrimages and boosting tourism.

These developments mark a significant step forward for Madhya Pradesh's transportation infrastructure. With the introduction of Vande Metro trains and the continuous improvement of existing metro projects, the state is poised to offer a modern and efficient transportation network that will benefit both residents and visitors. Whether you are a devotee planning to attend the Simhastha Kumbh Mela or a daily commuter, these upcoming metro services promise a more convenient and enjoyable travel experience.
