Indian Railways has announced two new train services to meet the growing demand for long-distance travel on routes connecting Bihar with Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. The new trains are expected to provide passengers with more travel options and reduce pressure on existing services.

Patna to Bengaluru & Ahmedabad Trains
The first service will be a weekly Ahmedabad-Bhagalpur Amrit Bharat Express. The train will operate through the DDU-Patna-Kiul route and will start from August 26. According to East Central Railway, the train will leave Ahmedabad every Wednesday at 6:30 pm and reach Bhagalpur at 6:40 am on Friday.
For the return journey, the train will leave Bhagalpur every Friday at 6:40 pm and reach Ahmedabad at 5:25 am on Sunday. The new Amrit Bharat Express will have 22 coaches. These will include 11 general coaches, eight sleeper coaches, two brake vans and one pantry car. The service is expected to be useful for passengers travelling between Gujarat, Bihar and nearby areas.
The Railways will also introduce a daily Danapur-Bengaluru Express from September 1. The train will leave Danapur at 2:45 pm and reach Bengaluru at 2:30 pm on the third day of the journey. The return service from Bengaluru will begin on September 3. It will depart Bengaluru at 11:50 pm and arrive at Danapur at 12:15 am on the third day.
The Danapur-Bengaluru Express will have 24 coaches. Its composition will include two AC two-tier coaches, three AC three-tier coaches, 10 sleeper coaches, seven general coaches and two brake vans.
Railway officials said the two new services will provide additional options for passengers travelling on busy long-distance routes. The trains are expected to improve connectivity and make travel more convenient for passengers from Bihar and other connected regions.
