Two Vande Bharat trains starting from Bengaluru may soon have important changes in their timings and operations. There is also a possibility that the Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat train could shift its terminal station from SMVT Bengaluru to KSR Bengaluru, as it has been a long-standing demand from passengers.

Bengaluru's Vande Bharat Services to Face Changes
Recently, South Western Railway (SWR) introduced a new timetable and some operational changes for the premium Vande Bharat services running between Bengaluru and Kalaburagi, and Bengaluru and Belagavi. However, these changes have not been finalized and will only be implemented after approval from the Railway Board.
New Schedule for the Vande Bharat Trains
According to the proposal, the schedule for the Belagavi Vande Bharat train will remain the same. It will continue to depart from Belagavi at 5:35 a.m. and arrive in Bengaluru at 1:50 p.m. The return journey will also remain unchanged, departing from Bengaluru at 2:20 p.m. and reaching Belagavi at 10:30 p.m. However, there will be a change in its weekly off day. Instead of Wednesday, the train will not run on Thursdays.
For the Kalaburagi Vande Bharat train, some timing changes have been proposed. The train is expected to start 10 minutes earlier, at 6:00 a.m., and reach Bengaluru at 1:50 p.m., which is earlier than its current arrival time of 2:10 p.m. On the return trip, it will leave KSR Bengaluru at 2:40 p.m. and reach Kalaburagi at 10:40 p.m.
Other Changes
The maintenance days for both trains will also change. The Kalaburagi-Bengaluru train will not run on Thursdays instead of Fridays, while the Bengaluru-Kalaburagi train will have Wednesday as its non-operational day instead of Thursday.
These proposed changes are planned, as the shift train maintenance work is being moved to Belagavi.
