Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three new Vande Bharat Express trains this afternoon through video conferencing. The new trains will run on the Meerut-Lucknow, Madurai-Bengaluru, and Chennai-Nagercoil routes.

These modern trains are part of the government's "Make in India" and "Aatmanirbhar Bharat" initiatives. The new Vande Bharat services are expected to improve rail connectivity and provide passengers with faster, safer, and more comfortable travel. The trains will mainly benefit passengers in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

The Vande Bharat trains are designed with modern facilities and better travel comfort. They are expected to help regular passengers, students, professionals, and business travellers by reducing travel time and improving convenience.
List of Vande Bharat Express Trains
The Meerut-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will have eight coaches and will complete the journey in around 7 hours and 15 minutes. Regular service from Lucknow will begin on Sunday, while the train from Meerut City Junction will start operating from Monday. The train will run six days a week and will remain cancelled on Tuesdays.
According to the schedule, the train will depart from Meerut City at 6:35 am and depart from Lucknow at 2:45 pm. Officials said the semi-high-speed train will greatly improve connectivity between Meerut and Lucknow and provide a more comfortable travel experience for passengers.
Meanwhile, the Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express will improve connectivity to important industrial, business, and tourist destinations in Tamil Nadu. The route will connect major cities such as Trichy, Madurai, Dindigul, and Tirunelveli, making travel easier and faster for passengers travelling across the region.
The Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is also expected to improve travel between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka by offering quicker and more efficient rail transport.
