Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the Vande Bharat Express, connecting Patna and Gorakhpur via Muzaffarpur and Bettiah. This new train service will operate six days a week, excluding Saturdays. During his visit to Bihar's Siwan district, Modi also launched several developmental projects. The event was attended by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary.

Vande Bharat Express Schedule
The Gorakhpur-Patna Vande Bharat Express, numbered 26502/26501, will commence operations on June 22. The train from Gorakhpur to Patna departs at 5:40 am and arrives at 12:45 pm. Conversely, the return journey from Patna starts at 3:30 pm and reaches Gorakhpur by 10:30 pm.
Route and Fare Details
This express train travels through Kaptanganj, Paniyhawa, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Sagauli, Bapudham Motihari, Muzaffarpur, and Hajipur before reaching its destination. Ticket prices vary based on the class chosen and the distance covered. Executive Class fares range from Rs 715 to Rs 1,820 per person. For Chair Car Class passengers, prices start at Rs 380 and go up to Rs 925.
In addition to the train launch, Modi inaugurated a new railway line between Vaishali and Deoria in Bihar. This project is valued at over Rs 400 crore. The Prime Minister also flagged off a locomotive built at Marhowrah for export to Guinea. This marks the first locomotive export from this facility.
The introduction of the Vande Bharat Express aims to enhance connectivity between key cities in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. It promises a faster travel experience with modern amenities for passengers.
