In a bid to foster a spirit of cultural and spiritual unity, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is all set to organize a series of religious events in prominent temples across the state. Commencing from the joyous occasion of Makar Sankranti in January, these festivities will continue until the much-anticipated Pran-Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22.

The state's tourism and culture department, under the guidance of the 'paryatan and sanskritik parishad' in each district, is diligently working to finalize the list of temples in all 75 districts where these events will unfold. Continuous recitals of revered texts such as Ramcharitmanas, Ramayan, Hanuman Chalisa, and other religious activities will be organized, showcasing the rich tapestry of India's cultural and religious heritage.
Mukesh Meshram, the principal secretary of the tourism department, shared, "We are in the process of finalizing the list of temples across the state where religious events will be organized." This initiative underscores the government's commitment to fostering a sense of community and spirituality among the people of Uttar Pradesh.
The events are strategically planned to coincide with the significant occasion of Makar Sankranti, celebrated on January 14/15 in accordance with the Hindu calendar. This festival marks the transition of the Sun from the southern hemisphere to the Northern hemisphere, signifying the end of winter and the onset of spring. In Uttar Pradesh, Makar Sankranti is known as Khichdi Parv or the festival of charit.
In anticipation of the grand 'pran pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22, the Yogi Adityanath government has allocated a substantial ₹100 crore for 'Ramotsav.' This extensive series of religious events will unfold in temples across 826 local bodies in Uttar Pradesh, accompanied by the Ram Paduka Yatra. The yatra, symbolic of Lord Ram's 14-year exile from Ayodhya, will traverse the Ram Van Gaman Path, covering the entire country.

The devout will be treated to continuous recitals of Ramcharitmanas, Ramayan, and Hanuman Chalisa in temples deeply associated with the 'Ramayan tradition.' The cultural fabric of the state will be adorned with spiritual fervor, bringing communities together to celebrate their shared heritage.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to preside over the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22, adding a touch of grandeur to the auspicious occasion. The government's department of tourism and culture, in collaboration with the paryatan and sanskritik parishad in each district, is orchestrating this cultural extravaganza, inviting citizens to partake in the festivities that bridge the gap between tradition and modernity.
As the state gears up for these spiritual celebrations, the Yogi Adityanath government's commitment to preserving and promoting cultural values shines through, creating an atmosphere of unity and devotion that resonates with the spirit of Uttar Pradesh.
