Uttar Pradesh has taken a big step to boost tourism and nature experiences by launching India's first Vistadome jungle safari train. This special train connects Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary to Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. With glass windows and transparent roofs, it gives travelers beautiful views of the jungle, making the journey feel like a real adventure in the wild.
A Unique Jungle Train Experience
This Vistadome jungle safari train is a new and exciting way to explore nature. The train runs through a 107-kilometre route and takes around 4 hours and 25 minutes. The ticket price is just Rs 275 per person. Passengers get a close look at the forest, its greenery, and the animals living there. The train is designed to offer a peaceful and memorable experience through glass coaches and wide windows.
Boosting Tourism and Jobs
The jungle safari train is not just about fun. It is also expected to help the local economy by creating jobs and bringing in more tourists. One Destination, Three Forests
The state government has also started a special project called 'One Destination Three Forests.' This project includes Dudhwa National Park, Katarniaghat, and Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary. The Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board is leading this plan, helping travelers enjoy jungle safaris throughout the year.
New Travel Packages and Future Plans
Prakhar Mishra, Director of Live Events Tourism, said that the train service is part of the government's bigger plan to make forest tourism more popular. A travel package from Lucknow to Katarniaghat is also being planned. It may come with a subsidy to make it cheaper for visitors. Right now, the Vistadome jungle train runs only on weekends, but there are plans to start daily trips soon.
Scenic Train Route Through the Wild
The journey from Bichia to Mailani is very scenic. The train leaves Bichia at 11:45 am and reaches Mailani by 4:10 pm. On the return trip, passengers get to enjoy the sunrise in the forest. The train stops at different places to show wetlands, grasslands, and woodlands-offering many views of nature.
Special Tours for Children and Influencers
To spread the word, the government is planning weekly jungle train tours for school children. Travel bloggers and influencers will also be invited to take part in special "fame tours." These tours will help show off the beauty of the jungle on social media-even during the monsoon, when the forest is most beautiful.
