Indian Railways has announced special trains to help devotees travel comfortably during the Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru, who is remembered for his sacrifice and protection of religious freedom. The announcement was made by S. Ravneet Singh, Union Minister of State for Railways

and Food Processing Industries.
Two Special Trains to Operate
To ensure smooth travel for the large number of pilgrims visiting Sri Anandpur Sahib, the Railways will run two special train services: one from Patna Sahib and another from Old Delhi. These trains will operate from November 22, 2025, to manage the expected increase in passengers.
The Patna Sahib special train, with 22 coaches, will depart from Patna on November 23 at 6:40 am and reach Sri Anandpur Sahib the next day at 4:15 am. For the return journey, the train will depart from Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 25 at 9:00 pm and reach Old Delhi at 11:30 pm. On the way, it will stop at Lucknow, Moradabad, and Ambala.
The Old Delhi special service will be an all-AC train running daily on November 22, 23, 24, and 25. It will depart from Old Delhi at 7:00 am and reach Sri Anandpur Sahib at 1:45 pm on the same day. The return train will depart from Sri Anandpur Sahib at 8:30 pm and reach Delhi at 3:15 am. This service will stop at Sonipat, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Sirhind, and New Morinda in both directions.
The Minister stated that these special trains highlight Indian Railways' commitment to providing safe and convenient travel for devotees observing this important occasion. The Railways have encouraged passengers to plan their journey early and utilise these special services for a hassle-free experience.
