The Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) began on Friday in Kolkata, featuring over 450 exhibitors from 10 countries and 26 Indian states. Sanjiv Agarwal, chairman of Fairfest Media, the event organizer, highlighted the participation of countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mauritius, and Thailand.

State tourism boards from Assam, Bihar, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, and Jharkhand are among those showcasing their attractions at this annual event. Agarwal noted a significant increase in international participation this year.
Record-Breaking Exhibition Space
Agarwal mentioned that this year's exhibition space has surpassed all previous records. "Over 450 exhibitors from 10 countries and 26 states are participating in this event," he said during the inauguration at Milan Mela ground. The 'Visit Terai' initiative is being showcased at the event. This initiative focuses on the Himalayan foothills region of Nepal near the Indian border. It aims to attract tourists by highlighting the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the area.
