Several Trains to be Affected

The disruption has impacted several long-distance trains connecting Mumbai with Hyderabad, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, Porbandar, and other major cities. According to railway authorities, four important express trains will remain cancelled until July 24. Several other trains have also been diverted through alternative routes to avoid the affected area and ensure safe movement.

The cancelled services include:

• Train No. 22731 Hyderabad-CST Mumbai Express

• Train No. 22732 CST Mumbai-Hyderabad Express

• Train No. 22157 CST Mumbai-Chennai Central Express

• Train No. 22158 Chennai Central-CST Mumbai Express

The cancellation of these trains is expected to affect passengers travelling between Telangana, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. Railway officials have advised travellers to check the latest updates before reaching stations to avoid inconvenience.

Diverted Trains

Apart from cancellations, several long-distance trains have been diverted through different routes. These include the Secunderabad-Rajkot Express, Secunderabad-Porbandar Express, Ekta Nagar-Chennai Central Express, LTT Mumbai-Madurai Express, Rajkot-Secunderabad Express, Porbandar-Secunderabad Express, LTT Mumbai-Visakhapatnam Express, and Ahmedabad-Tiruchchirappalli Express. The diversions will remain in effect on different dates between July 21 and July 24.
To keep train operations running safely, railway authorities have announced alternate routes such as Daund-Manmad-Igatpuri-Kalyan, Daund-Manmad-Jalgaon-Paldhi-Surat, and Surat-Paldhi-Manmad-Daund-Solapur.

Why are the Temporary Changes Made?

Officials said these temporary changes have been made to protect passenger safety and allow repair teams to complete restoration work quickly. Passengers are requested to regularly check train schedules, delays, cancellations, and running status through official railway platforms before starting their journey. Normal services are expected to resume after the affected railway section is cleared and declared safe for operations.
