Passengers travelling on long-distance trains through the Konkan Railway route should check their train schedules carefully this monsoon season. Western Railway has announced revised timings for 24 pairs of trains, affecting a total of 48 services running in both directions. The new timetable will be in effect from June 15 to October 20, according to Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Vineet Abhishek.

Western Railway Announced Revised Timings for Trains
The changes have been introduced due to Konkan Railway's annual monsoon timetable. Every year, special arrangements are made during the rainy season because the Konkan route passes through areas that receive heavy rainfall. Waterlogging, landslides, and challenging terrain can affect train operations. To ensure passenger safety, trains are required to run at reduced speeds in certain sections during the monsoon months.
List of Trains Affected
As a result, the arrival and departure timings of several trains have been revised. Many trains are expected to reach stations later than their usual schedules during this period.
Some of the major trains affected include the Bandra Terminus-Madgaon Bi-Weekly Express, Kerala Sampark Kranti Express, Hazrat Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Duronto Express, Hazrat Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram Rajdhani Express, Goa Sampark Kranti Express, Amritsar-Thiruvananthapuram Express, Ajmer-Ernakulam Marusagar Express, Gandhidham-Nagercoil Express, Veraval-Thiruvananthapuram Express, Okha-Ernakulam Express, Hapa-Madgaon Express, Gandhidham-Tirunelveli Humsafar Express, Indore-Thiruvananthapuram Express, Hisar-Coimbatore AC Express, and several other important long-distance services.
The revised timetable will also affect train operations at major Western Railway stations such as Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Gandhidham, Porbandar, and Veraval, among others.
