Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced a new system to improve the VIP break darshan experience at the famous Lord Venkateshwara temple in Tirumala. This initiative is designed to reduce long waiting times and make the pilgrimage more convenient for devotees, especially those carrying recommendation letters from public representatives. With this new arrangement, worshippers from Telangana can now access priority darshan, just like those from Andhra Pradesh.
Priority Darshan for Telangana Devotees
The new system allows Telangana devotees to submit recommendation letters from elected officials for VIP break darshan. The letter must be on the official letterhead of the public representative and can include up to six names for darshan. The letter must also mention the visitors' arrival and preferred darshan dates to ensure a smooth process.
How to Apply for VIP Darshan
To avail of this service, devotees must carry the original recommendation letter along with their Aadhaar card and present them at the Joint Executive Officer (JEO) office in Tirumala. The temple authorities will complete the registration and biometric verification before issuing an enrollment slip.
Later in the evening, between 6 PM and 10 PM, devotees will receive a confirmation message about their darshan schedule. They can then download and purchase their darshan tickets accordingly.
Accommodation Booking Process
For those seeking accommodation, a photocopy of the recommendation letter must be submitted during room booking. The final confirmation requires signing the letter at the JEO office.
VIP Darshan Ticket Allocation
The distribution of VIP darshan tickets is carefully planned throughout the week:
- Mondays and Sundays - VIP break darshan tickets for six devotees per letter
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays - Special entry darshan tickets for six devotees per letter
Each devotee can use up to four recommendation letters per week, allowing a total of 24 people to avail of VIP darshan weekly.
The introduction of this VIP darshan system for Telangana devotees is a step towards making the sacred journey to Tirumala temple more accessible and organized. By reducing long wait times and providing a structured darshan experience, this initiative ensures that devotees can focus on their spiritual journey with peace of mind.
As this new system is implemented, there is a possibility of further expanding the VIP darshan privileges to more devotees in the future, enhancing the overall pilgrimage experience at Lord Venkateshwara temple.
