Ganeshotsav Special Trains 2026: Check out the List of Trains to be Operated by Central Railway to Handle Rush

Central Railway has announced four additional special train services between Hazur Sahib Nanded and Sawantwadi Road to manage the expected increase in passengers during Ganeshotsav 2026, following strong passenger demand. These special services will operate between September 12 and September 17, 2026.

Ganeshotsav Special Trains 2026

Train number 07659 will leave Hazur Sahib Nanded at 8 pm on September 12 and September 15. It will reach Sawantwadi Road at 3:30 am on the third day. Two services of this train will be operated. In the opposite direction, train number 07660 will depart from Sawantwadi Road at 7:30 am on September 14 and September 17 and reach Hazur Sahib Nanded at 11:30 am the following day.

Important Stoppages & Features

The special trains will stop at several important stations, including Purna, Parbhani, Parli Vaijnath, Latur Road, Latur, Yedshi, Barshi Town, Kurduwadi, Daund, Pune, Lonavla, Kalyan, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal and Sawantwadi Road, aiming to make travel easier for devotees heading towards the Konkan region during the festival.

Each special train will have 24 coaches. The composition includes three AC 2-Tier coaches, five AC 3-Tier coaches, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, four General Second Class coaches and two Second Seating-cum-Guard's Brake Vans. This provides passengers with both reserved and general travel options.

Advisory for Passengers

Passengers have been advised to check the exact arrival and departure timings at individual stations before travelling. Detailed information is available through the Indian Railways enquiry website and the NTES app. The additional services are part of Central Railway's preparations to handle the heavy rush expected during Ganeshotsav, especially on routes connecting Maharashtra's interior areas with the Konkan region.
