As Uttar Pradesh gears up to host the Mahakumbha in 2025, the anticipation among devotees is overwhelming. This time, the state has promised state-of-the-art facilities and the world's largest tent city to accommodate the millions of attendees. Dr. Mahendra Singh shared this exciting news on LinkedIn, announcing that the tent city would be set up in Sangam City, Prayagraj, spread over a staggering 4000 hectares.

The magnitude of this mega-event is awe-inspiring, with an expected attendance of a jaw-dropping 400 million people over its 45-day duration - that's about 1.5 times the population of Uttar Pradesh! With 25 sectors to explore, the tent city will be equipped with cutting-edge technology, including a network of 23,000 CCTVs for safety and a dazzling array of 67,000 streetlights to illuminate the night sky.
It's a fusion of culture, spirituality, and innovation right in the heart of Prayagraj, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
Recently, DRM/LKO, Shri S M Sharma, convened a meeting with Shri Vijay Kiran Anand, the Mela Adhikari for Kumbh, representing the civil administration. Discussions were held on various aspects related to the upcoming Kumbh Mela and its coordination with the railway authorities.
