Indian Railways has announced that the special train service operating between Surat and Mangaluru Junction will now be a regular bi-weekly express train. The current Train No. 09057/09058 Surat-Mangaluru Junction-Surat Special has been regularised and will operate as Train No. 19057/19058 Surat-Mangaluru Junction-Surat Bi-Weekly Express.

Surat-Mangaluru Train
According to a release from Konkan Railway Corporation Limited, the regular service will begin from Surat on June 3 and from Mangaluru Junction on June 4.
Train No. 19057 Surat-Mangaluru Junction Bi-Weekly Express will leave Surat at 7:35 pm every Wednesday and Sunday. The train will reach Mangaluru Junction at 7:45 pm on the following day, providing a convenient travel option for passengers travelling between Gujarat and the coastal regions of Karnataka.
Similarly, Train No. 19058 Mangaluru Junction-Surat Bi-Weekly Express will depart from Mangaluru Junction at 10:30 pm every Thursday and Monday. It will arrive in Surat at 11:45 pm the next day.
Major Stoppages
During its journey, the train will stop at several important stations along the Konkan coast. These include Karwar, Ankola, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road, Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki, and Surathkal.
Train Features
The train will consist of 20 coaches to accommodate different categories of passengers. These include one AC 2-tier coach, seven AC 3-tier coaches, six sleeper class coaches, four general coaches, and two SLR/D coaches.
The regularisation of this service is expected to benefit passengers travelling between Gujarat and Karnataka by providing a reliable and permanent rail connection on this route.
