With summer holidays approaching, Central Railway has announced several special trains from Pune and Mumbai to help passengers travel comfortably to their hometowns and holiday destinations. These trains will run with special charges, and tickets have been available since last week at reservation counters and on the IRCTC website. Passengers

can book tickets through the UTS system or check timings and updates on the NTES App.
Summer Special Trains to Operate from Pune
A total of six special trains from Pune will connect the city to places including Danapur, Gorakhpur, Nagpur, Ghazipur, and Kolhapur. These include daily, weekly, and bi-weekly services, giving passengers more flexibility during the busy travel season. For example, daily trains will run between Pune and Danapur as well as Pune and Gorakhpur, while weekly and AC special trains will connect Pune with Nagpur. There will also be a bi-weekly train to Ghazipur City and a daily service between Pune and Kolhapur.
Special Trains to Depart from Mumbai
In Mumbai, major stations including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Dadar will serve as key departure points for many summer special trains moving to different parts of the country. These include weekly, bi-weekly, and daily trains to destinations such as Madgaon, Nagpur, Gorakhpur, and Ballia.
Extra Train Services
Additional services will also operate from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, connecting passengers to cities like Samastipur, Banaras, Danapur, Solapur, and Madgaon. These trains will operate on different schedules, including weekly and daily trips, depending on demand.
Despite long-distance travel, several short-distance and regional special trains have also been introduced to boost local travel demand and reduce crowding.
