To handle the expected rush during Navratra, Diwali and Chhath, the Central Railway's Pune division will run 216 trips of seven special trains between October and November. The train-on-demand services will connect Pune and Hadapsar with Gorakhpur, Ghazipur City, Nagpur and New Amravati. Special trains will also operate between Mumbai and Kolhapur, and Kolhapur and Kalaburagi.
Pune Special Train Trips
The Hadapsar-Gorakhpur-Hadapsar daily special will make 64 trips. Train No. 01415 will depart Hadapsar at 7.05 am daily from October 16 to November 16 and reach Gorakhpur at 4 pm the following day. The return service will run from October 17 to November 17, leaving Gorakhpur at 5.30 pm and reaching Hadapsar at 3.30 am on the third day. Major stops include Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Belapur, Manmad, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Gonda and Basti.
The Nagpur-Hadapsar-Nagpur bi-weekly service will make 26 trips, running Mondays and Thursdays from Nagpur and Tuesdays and Fridays from Hadapsar. Another weekly service will make 14 trips, operating on Saturdays from Nagpur and Sundays from Hadapsar. Both will stop at Wardha, Akola, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahilyanagar and Daund Chord Line.
The Hadapsar-Ghazipur City-Hadapsar special will make 24 trips, while the Pune-New Amravati weekly special will make 12 trips between October 13 and November 18, with its terminal changed from Amravati to New Amravati (NAVI).
The 12-trip CSMT-Kolhapur-CSMT special will run every Thursday from October 15 to November 19. The Kolhapur-Kalaburagi-Kolhapur service will operate daily except Fridays from October 10 to November 15, making 64 trips.
Reservations for trains 01431, 01201 and 01417 opened on September 27, while bookings for 01209, 01415, 01403 and 01451 will open on September 28. Tickets are available through reservation counters and the IRCTC website, with applicable special charges. Unreserved General Second Class, SLR, and SLRD coaches can be booked through UTS, including the UTS app and booking counters.
