Indian Railways has introduced several special trains to manage the heavy passenger traffic during the summer season to ease travel and reduce overcrowding.
Summer Special Trains
• One of the special services is Train No. 06065 Podanur-Kharagpur Junction Summer Special. This train will leave Podanur at 11 pm on Thursday and reach Kharagpur Junction at 1 pm on Saturday. For the return journey, Train No. 06066 Kharagpur Junction-Chennai Beach Summer Special will depart from Kharagpur at 3:30 pm on Saturday and arrive in Chennai at 9:30 pm on Sunday.
• Another important service is Train No. 06551 SMVT Bengaluru-Balurghat Special Express. This train will leave Bengaluru at 8:50 am on Fridays, specifically on April 17 and April 24, and will reach Balurghat at 6 am on Sunday. For passengers travelling back, Train No. 06552 Balurghat-SMVT Bengaluru Special will depart from Balurghat at 5:15 am on Mondays, April 20 and April 27. It will reach Bengaluru at 3 am on Wednesday.
These special train services have been planned to handle the increased number of travelers during the summer holidays. By adding these extra trips, Indian Railways hopes to provide a more comfortable and convenient journey for passengers travelling across the country.
