Central Railway has announced several Summer Special trains from Pune to manage the rise in passenger traffic during the upcoming summer vacation season. Every year, many people travel to their hometowns or tourist destinations during this period, which leads to heavy demand for train tickets. To make travel easier and

reduce crowding, these extra trains will run between Pune and major destinations including Danapur, Gorakhpur, Nagpur, and Ghazipur City.
Summer Special Trains from Pune
According to railway officials, these special trains will operate with applicable special charges and will connect Pune with important cities in northern and central India. The additional services aim to give passengers more travel options and ensure smoother journeys during the busy holiday months.
Pune-Danapur Daily Special Train
One of the main services introduced is the Pune-Danapur Daily Special train, which will make a total of 212 trips. It will depart from Pune every day from April 1 to July 15, completing 106 journeys. The return train from Danapur will run daily from April 3 to July 17, also completing 106 trips.
Pune-Gorakhpur Daily Special Train
Central Railway will also run a Pune-Gorakhpur Daily Special during April to meet the high travel demand on this route. The train will leave Pune every day from April 1 to April 30, completing 30 trips. The return service from Gorakhpur will operate daily from April 2 to May 1, making another 30 trips.
Weekly Superfast Special Trains Between Pune & Nagpur
To improve travel within Maharashtra, two weekly superfast special trains will run between Pune and Nagpur. One train will depart Pune every Tuesday from April 21 to July 14, with the return service leaving Nagpur every Wednesday. The second train will leave Pune every Wednesday from April 15 to July 15, and the return train will depart Nagpur every Thursday. Additionally, a bi-weekly special train will run between Pune and Ghazipur City for eight trips in April.
Ticket Bookings for Summer Special Trains
Ticket bookings for these Summer Special trains will begin on March 17 through PRS counters and the IRCTC website. Passengers can also buy general tickets through the UTS system and are advised to check schedules on the NTES portal or mobile app before travelling.
