Southern Railway has announced a special summer train between Nagercoil and Shalimar to handle the huge passenger traffic during the holiday season. This step has been taken as train travel usually increases during summer, and extra services help people travel more comfortably.
Summer Special Train between Nagercoil & Shalimar
The special train from Nagercoil to Shalimar, with train No. 06057, will depart at 11:40 AM on April 15, 2026. It will take about two days to complete the journey and is scheduled to reach Shalimar at 2:30 PM on the third day. For the return journey, the Shalimar to Nagercoil special train with Train No. 06058 will depart at 2:00 PM on April 18, 2026. It will also take a similar duration and will arrive back at Nagercoil at 5:30 PM on the third day.
Important Stoppages
This special train will stop at several important stations along the route to make travel easier for passengers from different regions. Some of the major stoppages include Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Salem, Katpadi, Renigunta, Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar, and Kharagpur.
