To manage the heavy crowd during the Pancha Maharathothsava and Doddajathre festivals, South Western Railway has announced special unreserved express trains between Mysuru and Nanjangud Town, which will run from March 30 to April 3, with five trips in each direction.

Mysuru-Nanjangud Town Unreserved Express Special
According to officials, Train No. 06225, Mysuru-Nanjangud Town Unreserved Express Special will depart from Mysuru at 1:00 PM and reach Nanjangud Town at 2:00 PM. Along the way, it will stop at several stations, including Chamarajapuram, Ashokapuram, Kadakola, Tandavapura, and Sujatapuram, with short halts at each station.
Nanjangud Town-Mysuru Unreserved Express Special
Similarly, Train No. 06226, Nanjangud Town-Mysuru Unreserved Express Special will depart from Nanjangud Town at 3:10 PM and arrive in Mysuru at 4:10 PM. On its return journey, it will stop at Sujatapuram, Tandavapura, Kadakola, Ashokapuram, and Chamarajapuram, following a similar schedule.
Features of Special Trains
The train will have a total of 21 coaches. This includes two AC two-tier coaches, six AC three-tier coaches, seven sleeper class coaches, four general second-class coaches, one luggage and brake van, and one SLRD coach. This combination of coaches ensures that passengers from different categories can travel comfortably during the busy festival days.

These special trains are being introduced to provide relief to passengers travelling during the festival period, when a large number of devotees are expected to visit the region. The additional services aim to make travel more convenient and reduce overcrowding on regular trains.
