To handle the rush of passengers during Christmas and New Year, Indian Railways has announced special trains passing through Itarsi. These trains are being run on the Kanpur Central-Lokmanya Tilak Terminal (Mumbai) and Hyderabad-Ajmer routes. The aim is to give passengers more travel options and make long-distance journeys

easier across North India, Maharashtra, and South India during the festive season.
Kanpur Central-Mumbai Route
Indian Railways will run two special trips between Kanpur Central and Lokmanya Tilak Terminal via Itarsi.
Train number 04119 will leave Kanpur Central at 1:00 pm on December 22 and December 29. It will reach Itarsi early the next morning at 3:30 am and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminal at 2:55 pm the same day.
The return train, number 04120, will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal at 4:55 pm on December 23 and December 30. It will reach Itarsi at 6:00 am the next morning and arrive at Kanpur Central at 8:30 pm.
These trains will stop at several important stations, including Fatehpur, Prayagraj, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusawal, Nashik, and Kalyan, making travel easier for many passengers along the route.
Hyderabad-Ajmer Route
A special train will also run between Hyderabad and Ajmer via the Bhopal Division.
Train number 07731 will depart from Hyderabad at 11:30 am on December 23 and reach Ajmer at 2:15 am on the third day. The return service, train number 07732, will depart Ajmer at 6:50 pm on December 27 and arrive in Hyderabad at 11:00 am on the third day.
This train will stop at major stations such as Secunderabad, Nanded, Akola, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Ujjain, Ratlam, and Chittorgarh.
Thus, these special trains will help reduce crowding on regular services and ensure smoother travel for people heading home or on holiday during the festive period.
