Indian Railways has decided to extend the services of several special trains to manage the rise in passenger demand during the summer season. These trains will continue to run with the same timings, stoppages, and coach arrangements as before, so passengers will not face any changes in their travel plans.
List of Extended Summer Special Train Services
• Train number 02811 Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur Special will now run until June 27, 2026. Its return service, train number 02812, Yesvantpur-Bhubaneswar Special, will continue operating until June 29, 2026.
• Similarly, train number 08311 Sambalpur-Erode Special has been extended until May 27, 2026, while train number 08312 Erode-Sambalpur Special will run until May 29, 2026.
• Another important extension includes train number 08508 Visakhapatnam-Shalimar Special, which will now operate until June 30, 2026. Its return train, number 08507 Shalimar-Visakhapatnam Special, has also been extended until the same date.
This extension is expected to benefit travellers by providing more convenient travel options during the busy summer period without any inconvenience and reducing the huge crowds on regular trains. Passengers are advised to check the updated schedules and plan their journeys to avoid any inconvenience.
