South Western Railway Launches Three Ugadi Special Trains to Ease Peak Travel Crowding

To manage the expected increase in passenger travel during the upcoming Ugadi festival, South Western Railway has announced several special express trains. These additional services aim to help passengers travel comfortably and reduce overcrowding on regular trains during the festive period.

SMVT Bengaluru-Belagavi Express Special

One of the special trains is the SMVT Bengaluru-Belagavi Express Special. Train number 06503 will depart from Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal in Bengaluru at 7:00 pm on Wednesday and is scheduled to reach Belagavi at 7:35 am the next day. The return service, train number 06504, will leave Belagavi at 5:30 pm on March 22 and arrive back at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal at 5:00 am the following morning.

Special Train between Yeshwantpur and Vijayapura

Another special train will run between Yeshwantpur Railway Station and Vijayapura. Train number 06277 will depart from Yeshwantpur at 9:50 pm on Wednesday and reach Vijayapura at 9:45 am the next day. The return train, number 06278, will leave Vijayapura at 1:30 pm on March 22 and arrive at Yeshwantpur at 12:30 am the next day.

Special Train between Yeshwantpur and Madgaon

Moreover, a special train will operate between Yeshwantpur and Madgaon in Goa. Train number 06267 will depart from Yeshwantpur at 12:00 noon on Wednesday and reach Madgaon at 6:45 am the next morning. The return service, train number 06268, will leave Madgaon at 11:00 am on Thursday and arrive Bengaluru Cantonment Railway Station at 5:20 am the next day.

These special trains are expected to provide relief to passengers traveling to celebrate the Ugadi festival with family and friends. By adding extra services on busy routes, the railway authorities hope to make festive travel smoother and more convenient for passengers across Karnataka and nearby regions.
