PM in Solapur, Maharashtra

At around 10:45 AM, PM Modi will kickstart the day in Solapur, Maharashtra, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT). Valued at around Rs. 2,000 crores, these projects are poised to uplift urban living standards.

During this public event, PM Modi will dedicate more than 90,000 houses completed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-Urban) in Maharashtra. Additionally, he will dedicate 15,000 houses of the Raynagar Housing Society in Solapur, benefiting numerous handloom workers, vendors, power loom workers, rag pickers, Bidi workers, and drivers, among others.

Furthermore, the PM will commence the distribution of the first and second installments to 10,000 beneficiaries of the PM Street Vendors AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM-SVANIDHI) scheme in Maharashtra.

PM in Bengaluru, Karnataka

Moving to Bengaluru, Karnataka, at around 2:45 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) campus. This state-of-the-art campus, built with an investment of Rs. 1,600 crores, marks Boeing's largest investment outside the USA. The campus is envisioned as a hub for collaboration with India's startup, private, and government ecosystem, fostering the development of cutting-edge products and services for the global aerospace and defense industry.

In Bengaluru, PM Modi will also launch the Boeing Sukanya Program, an initiative supporting the entry of more girls into India's growing aviation sector. The program aims to provide critical skills in science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) fields, offering training for jobs in the aviation sector. STEM Labs at 150 planned locations will spark interest in STEM careers for young girls, and the program will provide scholarships to women training to be pilots.

PM at Khelo India Youth Games 2023, Chennai

Later, at around 6 PM, PM Modi will be the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony of the Khelo India Youth Games 2023 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This marks the first time the games are being held in South India, spanning four cities: Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, and Coimbatore from January 19 to 31, 2024.

The mascot for the games, Veera Mangai, symbolizes the valor and spirit of Indian women, inspired by Rani Velu Nachiyar's fight against British colonial rule. Over 5600 athletes will participate in 26 sporting disciplines, including the traditional Tamil Nadu sport Silambam introduced for the first time.

During the Khelo India Youth Games' inaugural ceremony, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone and launch projects worth about Rs. 250 crores in the broadcasting sector. This includes the revamped DD Podhigai channel as DD Tamil, 12 Akashvani FM projects in 8 states, and 4 DD transmitters in Jammu and Kashmir.
