The safari operates from 8 am to 2 pm, with a break in the afternoon before the evening safari begins. Due to the increasing number of visitors, the forest department plans to enhance the facilities at Silent Valley National Park. Currently, there are 19 jeeps and two safari buses operated by the Eco Development Committee. These vehicles take tourists, accompanied by guides, to Sairandhri, a location 24 kilometers away through the buffer zone of the park. Booking a Night Safari
To book a night safari at Silent Valley National Park, visitors can follow a simple process. First, visit the official website of the Kerala Forest Department. On the website, register with your name, email ID, and phone number. Once registered, you can choose your preferred date, time, package, and the number of visitors.
The park is open to tourists daily from 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, except on Fridays. Safari rides start at 8 am and conclude by 5 pm. Visitors can enter the park at any time during the given time slot, ensuring flexibility for their plans.
Fees and Charges
The fees for visiting Silent Valley National Park are reasonable, making it accessible for many visitors. The entry fee is ₹50 per person. For a jeep that can accommodate five people, the vehicle fee is ₹1600. Additionally, there are guide charges of ₹150, a video camera fee of ₹200, and a still camera fee of ₹25.
